Gosling gives a stellar performance as the young Jewish man which is loosely based on a true story. Cast includes Ryan Gosling, Summer Phoenix, Billy Zane, Theresa Russell, Glenn Fitzgerald and Ronald Guttman. (98 minutes, 2002)

Happy Gilmore, hockey player Happy Gilmore finds his slap shot power translates into 400 yard plus drives in golf. Needing money to help his grandma save her home, he is going to attempt pro golf. His putting is as bad as his driving is good, so he has a lot to learn. Overcoming all odds, Happy wins the tour championship and now can save grandma’s home.

The In Laws from 1964. Everybody can relate to this difficult situation. The in laws are coming and you just have to endure. Do not try this at home! Unrated rendition runs 93. Cast includes Peter Falk, Alan Arkin, Richard Libertini, and Nancy Dussault.

In 1988 Say It Isn’t So hit theaters. Congenially un-ambitious Klein falls for the new hairdresser in town Graham. They have consensual sex and then Klein discovers that Graham is his sister. It is a complete flop. Cast includes Heather Graham, Chris Klein, Orlando Jones, Sally Field, Richard Jenkins, John Rothman, Brent Briscoe, and Sarah Silverman.

Holiday came out 1938. First rendition of Philip Barry’s play in reference to non-conformity is a charming movie.
